“Honoring Our Past, Embracing Our Future”
About Us – The Lipsonian Kinsmen
The Lipsonian Kinsmen is a historic family and fraternal organization, founded by Jewish immigrants who came together in New York to support one another, preserve tradition, and strengthen ties of kinship. Established in the early 20th century, the society provided members with mutual aid, community connection, and dignity through life’s milestones, including charitable giving, cultural celebration, and burial society support.
For nearly a century, the Lipsonian Kinsmen have been part of the fabric of Jewish communal life—beginning in New York and, over generations, growing into a global family network. From contributing to philanthropic campaigns during the 1930s to maintaining records now housed in the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, our legacy is one of generosity, resilience, and enduring family bonds.
A central part of our tradition is our family reunions, where generations come together to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate the ties that bind us. These gatherings keep our history alive, strengthen kinship across branches of the family, and ensure that our values are passed down with joy and remembrance.
Today, we remain dedicated to honoring the vision of our founders by:
Preserving family and community history
Supporting one another through fellowship and connection
Promoting acts of charity and communal responsibility
Passing down the values of faith, kinship, and remembrance to future generations
The Lipsonian Kinsmen continue to stand as a living testament to the strength of family, tradition, and shared purpose.
